Class Description

In this immersive three-day workshop, we will explore weaving in a full rainbow of wool yarns on a wool warp, using unique color-layering techniques that feel organic and painterly. The focus will be on color—how to choose it, blend it, and push it into unexpected new combinations on the loom.

You’ll step into class with a pre-warped loom in vibrant wool, each one offering a different palette and opportunity for experimentation. Students are welcome to move between looms to try out multiple color ideas and expand their weaving vocabulary.

After two full days of weaving, we’ll shift our focus to transformation: turning handwoven cloth into functional design. Each student will receive a professionally made leather cross-body pouch, and together we’ll cut and sew custom woven inserts to fit inside. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a durable leather bag, at least 2–3 interchangeable woven inserts, and the skills to continue making more at home.

*NOTE: This class is designed for ALL SKILL LEVELS. If you have never touched a loom that’s not a problem. I will guide you through the whole thing!

Schedule

• Day 1 (9–4pm): Weaving demo, color selection techniques, and hands-on time at your loom

• Day 2 (9–4pm): Weaving day! Full day of experimentation and cloth creation

• Day 3 (9–4pm): Cutting and sewing your handwoven cloth into custom bag inserts
