Wool yarn, wool felt, cotton yarn

2026.

These works were made slowly by the window of my cabin in Marshall, North Carolina, surrounded by trees, shifting mountain light, and the quiet rhythm of days spent listening closely. Built from handwoven fragments, wool, stitched repairs, and gathered remnants from previous weavings, each piece became a small world of color, texture, memory, and reconstruction.

While unpacking my life and studio after returning to Appalachia, I found myself drawn to the bits and pieces I had carefully saved over years of making. What emerged are intimate textile compositions that feel somewhere between drawing, weaving, quilting, and relief sculpture. They hold traces of labor, movement, and time — soft surfaces meant to be lived with closely, like small companions on a wall.

Made during a season of transition, solitude, and renewal, these works reflect my ongoing interest in repair, abstraction, domesticity, and the emotional language of cloth.
