Bauhaus Handwoven Petité Sac

Bauhaus Handwoven Petité Sac

Dimensions: 9" x 6" x 12"

Wool yarn, merino wool felt, rustic brown waxed canvas, honey brown veg-tanned leather

Boundweave is created when yarn is packed together so tightly on the loom that you cannot see the weft threads. This technique creates a very good and durable rug cloth and has been used for centuries. In this design the weft threads spill over the top of this bag, creating a cotton and wool tassel fringe that allows you to see the detailed work that goes into binding and finishing woven cloth.

Adjustable by design, this bag converts from a small backpack to a shoulder bag by simply unbuckling the leather straps on either side.

Each bag is made with quality materials: merino wool felt, durable waxed canvas, honey brown leather and a water resistant neutral gray cotton canvas lining. The unique pocket that covers the entire front was meticulously woven by hand. Inside this bag there is one large compartment as well as two smaller (6” x 4”) pockets.
